News shocker

After about a week of news of sub-prime mortgage lender problems and the fiasco at the Walter Reed Army Hospital, not even the release of Linsay Lohan's dad could get any traction until tonight. What happened tonight? A judge has ordered a paternity test (not exactly) shocking the news media back to life. One can only wonder if this news will make it to the cover oftomorrow's NY Post and Daily News. Perhaps even the cover of the next US Weekly.

Drug problems among Jam Bands

Just a few short weeks after Phish front-man Trey Anastasio was arrested for possession of narcotics (some perscription and some not for him), John Popper of Blues Traveler has been arrested near Spokane Washington on a variety of gun charges and posession of marijuana. Popper was not the driver of the car, but was the owner, which had a number of hidden compartments with a variety of weapons.

While always thought to be just something that those in the audience did, perhaps there is a growing use of drugs amongst professional musicians.
